Note from the Editor: Well, Happy New Year! This is the first Despatches of 2012, and I am looking forward to bringing lots of fandom things to the attention of a wider audience over the course of this coming year. For those new to DW, welcome! This is the DW version of despatches, set up and currently issued by sharpiefan, who many of you may remember from LJ. I was inspired to begin issuing a version of Despatches here because there was very little AoS content here on DW and I hoped to inspire people to produce more - there can never be too much fandom stuff, after all. For those of you who are new subscribers, I encourage you to look through the back issues, and if you find something you like, please let the author know.
