From the Vickery Family Papers, Letter 14 by [personal profile] sharpiefan; Show the Colours; G; John Vickery; Continuing the correspondence from the papers of the Vickery family, between Captain John Vickery of the 5/60th and members of his family.
Jetsam by [personal profile] justincase; Aubreyad; PG-13; HMS Surprise (personification); She had known for some time she was to be broken; she’d felt it from her captain’s actions. He was sad, and he could tell no one. She wanted to comfort him, as she always had when he and she were younger.
Flotsam by [personal profile] justincase; Aubreyad; PG-13; Jack, Stephen, Sophie; Heneage Dundas, Pullings, Babington, Richardson; so many others in the street. Stephen had stood close to him there in the stock; Jack knew he was speaking to him, but it all seemed dreamlike; he’d distanced himself from that reality. That ordeal was now behind him and yet Jack still felt something ominous, not unlike a lee shore in the darkness of the moon.
Interludes in the Dark by [personal profile] muccamukk; Aubreyad; PG-13; Jack and Stephen; Jack didn't remember falling.

This has been really difficult: So many AoS people are taking part in the Snowflake Fandom Challenge, and one of the challenges is to rec three fanworks. So I've picked from those recs one in part of the AoS fandom that we don't see much of these days, the Sharpe fandom. The rec is from [personal profile] latin_cat who had this to say: Why I'm recommending this: This had the honour of being the first ever fanvid created for this pairing; there still aren't that many. It's a brilliant vid, very clever in its use of the song lyrics and the footage, and suits the tone of this series perfectly.
