Kiss of Life by anteros aka anteros and anteros_lmc; Hornblower; Horatio Hornblower/Archie Kennedy, Edward Pellew; Believe it or not this is a sequel to Friend or Foe, which I wrote in January 2010. I've been carrying the bare bones of this story around in my head ever since. It didn't turn out quite as I expected though :}
